More Game Viewing in Tarangire National Park

Thursday, January 11, 2024

We woke to rain and bird chorus at 6:15, very nice. Gayle and Pete organized stuff and saw monkeys looking in the windows of the tent. After a great breakfast in the lodge, we were off to Tarangire National Park for another game drive. We saw many of the animals we’d seen the day before but saw both elephants and giraffes up close and a warthog. Very cool. We saw several different eagles today, including a martial eagle, and saw vultures on something, maybe a kill, somewhat close to the road.  We rode back to Burunge Lake for the night. We saw 1000’s of flamingos far off on the lake. After happy hour, a quick swim, and a great dinner we went to bed. Gayle and Pete finally slept through the night.
