Most of our group took a balloon ride over the Serengeti at dawn, followed by a Champagne breakfast. They reported back that it was wonderful. Four of us didn’t try that. We hung around camp for a while, relaxing and had breakfast. Then we enjoyed a game drive while driving to the airport to meet the rest of the gang. We ended up waiting quite a while for them and then continued the game drive. We saw lots of wildlife again. We ate lunch in our Land Cruisers in the midst of the migration. We were surrounded by 100’s of zebras and wildebeest. We watched zebras rolling in the dust, both adults and their young.
We got back to camp earlier than usual and had time to shower and sit around a campfire before dinner. After dinner, which included singing and dancing with the staff, we went to bed for our last night in the Serengeti. We heard lions roaring as we fell asleep. Pete and Gayle slept with the tent canvas open to let in the moonlight and night sounds.
