Morning Bowhunt
I used my climber to set up at dawn in the forested bottom west of the Wet Spot. The Wet Spot was named by my Dad years ago and was one of his favorite places to deer hunt. My plan was to catch bucks moving thru this low area as they were on the prowl for does. I saw 4 different bucks and several does. I had up to 4 deer (does and fawns) feeding in range at one point, they seemed to be searching for acorns.
I didn’t take any shots, but had a good morning. I also saw turkeys up close (jakes) and a fox trotted right under my stand. I recognized that my arrow fletching was striking my bow riser on release, so am now adjusting things to hopefully solve that issue.
